At the not so tender age of eight, when I should have been immersing myself in the pleasure of learning what nine times something–supply your own number, they are all hard –I was busy hunched over a desk–with its own personal cubby hole because elementary school rocked–writing a story about a child who gets a surprise visit from a house eating robot.
That may seem strange for a nine year old (or not; I don’t know many nine year olds) but that story was a manifestation of what kind of adult I would turn out to be–which is delightfully wacky. I live in a creative zone–a man on man zone if you will. Does that make sense? No? Good. I’m glad we’re on the same page.
I’ve done a lot in the thirty odd years I’ve been on this earth. I’m a writer, graphic designer, videographer, blogger, vlogger, photography student, playwright, screenwriter and aspiring film-maker. I am also THE reigning underwater basket weaving champ for Cumberland County. No, I’m not. I made that up because it sounds cool. But honestly, I’ve got my hands in a lot of things, and since I’m working on a formula to give me more hands, I can’t wait to get THOSE hands in more things.
I am the oldest of four–I am my mother’s (Cheryl) Alpha Child and my father’s (Ronnie Sr) business plan idea pitching partner. I am my brother’s (Ron Jr) stand up-comic tag team partner, and my little sisters’ (Amber and Alyse) perpetual free clothing provider. I am from Fayetteville (you can say Fayettenam if you MUST) and a newly hazed resident of Durham. I am a proud Aggie of North Carolina A&T State University, and I watch and listen to A TON of things not in my native language. I’m cooler than the other side of the pillow.
